California deputies fire at suspect in car after 911 call leads to tense standoff (Mendocino Sheriff via Storyful)

MENDOCINO COUNTY, Calif. (STORYFUL)- Dashcam footage released by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office shows police firing towards a man in a car after he allegedly fired a shot at deputies on Oct. 10.

Police said they were dispatched to Redwood Valley after someone made a 911 call to report a drunk pedestrian. Nearby, police said, they found a man behind the steering wheel of a parked car.

This video shows police approaching the parked car and talking to a man inside. The man was named locally as Joseph Anthony Corral.

Police allege Mr. Corral reached for a handgun and fired at least one round at officers. This footage shows officers returning fire before arresting the suspect, who crawls out a rear window before being Tasered on the ground.
