[UPDATE 11:45 p.m. Monday] Richland Police announced 39-year-old Aaron Christopher Kelly, the suspect in Monday morning's shooting has been arrested.
Police also say the surviving victim of the shooting is currently in critical condition in an area hospital.

Images have been released by law enforcement of the suspected shooter from the Fred Meyer in Richland.
Police tell us a white male fired shots inside the Richland Fred Meyer this morning. Police say they have identified the shooter but are not releasing his identity with the public at this time.
Officers did confirm to Action News that one person was killed and another remains in critical condition at a nearby hospital.
Interim Police Chief, Brigit Clary, stated "What happened in our city today was a senseless and tragic act. Our hearts and thoughts are with the families of the victims."
Chief Clary stated that police received a call about the shooting at 11:03 AM. The first officer arrived on the scene at 11:04. Initial information to dispatchers is that a shooter was inside the store and multiple shots had been fired.
Officers rushed into the store and located two victims. Officers quickly began life-saving measures. One victim passed away at the scene. Medics rushed the other victim to the hospital.

RICHLAND -- Action News has learned about reports of an active shooter at the Fred Meyer in Richland.
Numerous medics have been called to the scene of the popular grocery store. Officers from other neighboring agencies have rushed to the scene to help with the situation.
We understand that at least two schools in the area are on lockdown. The Fred Meyer store is located at 101 Wellsian Way.
At this moment, police are telling everyone to avoid the Fred Meyer in Richland as officers and medics respond to the scene.
